I checked my records; I bought a new FEG R9 9mm pistol back in Nov 1991 for $309.50 [plus NYS tax]. My memory of it was that all the edges were very sharp; it was painful to shoot.
![]() Nice bluing; machining was equivalent to wartime manufacture; grips were OK but always looked unfinished... ![]() Edit: IIRC, the 'checkering' on the grips was pressed, not cut.

The PA63 is a nice little gun in 9mac. If I was able to carry in NJ it would be mt choice out of the guns that I own. I changed to the wolf springs and DA pull is manageable while the SA pull is downright nice. How many places did they manufacture guns in Hungary? Was it only the FEG factory in Budapest with different names as the regime changed? Is Femuru and Frommer the same company as FEG? My M95 is stamped Budapest but I dont know the actual name of the factory where it was made, I always refer to it as a Steyr. |
