I had a PhotoShop rendition of an 8" artillery P38 but I can't find it...

The P38/P1 eight inch artillery looks shorter than it actually is because 2 1/4" of the barrel is actually breech...Only 5 3/4" sticks out past the frame/slide...Where the Luger artillery sticks out ~7"...

I found it!

To make it mimic the artillery Luger, I'd have to add another 1 1/2" to the tapered section...making it actually 9 1/2" long...
