Sounds like someone was trying to adjust things by shaving off the trigger lever. Amateur attempts to "improve" a Luger's trigger often fail.
The trigger linkage on a Luger is a precision fitted area that requires some skill to do properly. I would consider getting it to a gunsmith with experience working on Lugers. LugerDoc on this board has that kind of background, and often has parts in stock. Marc

Thanks--I noticed that the "pad" on the upper arm of the trigger lever is worn "or shaved" so badly as to be non-existant.
