Questions on lining a new pistol case

there is a stretch velvet that may work ok if the felt look is not required and I think both have ebay offerings - velvet is thinner than the felt so would probably need more backing preparation or doubling to look professional

anyone know a source for the gold braid like that used on the commerative mauser parabellum 1970s era wood cases ?
