Seems to me that the physical location and size of the follower (magazine) button inside the grip of the right palm would be an obstacle to good function and comfort for repeat shots... This might be an early example as I don't remember the button being that large, or protruding that much... I think they were smaller in the later made examples (of course unlike Ed, I am occasionally wrong!
)

+1, that would be interesting, indeed. And the same question about the breech block could be posed as for that GAP.
