Ryan, I would rather have an Original than a repro any day - they fit better etc

So, personally I would find an army one that is the approx same year as yours and buy one in decent to nice shape

Ed,

I think you have talked some sense into me. I just got done browsing Simpson ltd, and I found numerous 1940 holsters in good shape for a good price. Is there a guide to identify fake holsters to the real deal? I thought I saw one but can't remember where.
