Best place to buy repo ww2 navy holster.
I'm looking for a repo but a nice repo for my 1940 navy. I can't seem to find any authentic navy holster's and when I do they sell fast or are just clear out of my price range.

CMR in the UK has some nice stuff if you want repro.

Thank you both. They have some really nice stuff, but no repo navy holsters. I did find a seller on ebay who is UK based. I sent him an email about proof marks etc. I just want a nice repo that matches for the time period until I can scrounge up some extra cash to buy the expensive authentic holster.

have you looked at this one on ebay. seems like a nice one for the money.

CMR does list the repro Navy holsters under "luger Holsters", 145.00 with strap and mag pouch. #N2BR.

You have a 4 inch luger then?
I would buy a army style holster. I think, but I am not sure that WW2 era Navy holsters looked like that. If I remember tomorrow when working I can look it up, but you'd have to send me a PM or email to remind me :) |

Yes it is a 4 inch luger. Did they make a larger version during the second war? I was looking on pheonix investments website at a navy they had, and the holster looked to be exactly that of an army issue just with the naval proofs. There is one on ebay almost in the 500 dollar range, but with all the frauds, and fakes I wish not to take a gamble on that due to my lack of knowledge on identifying a fake. Ryan |
Ryan, I would rather have an Original than a repro any day - they fit better etc
So, personally I would find an army one that is the approx same year as yours and buy one in decent to nice shape |
Ed,
I think you have talked some sense into me. I just got done browsing Simpson ltd, and I found numerous 1940 holsters in good shape for a good price. Is there a guide to identify fake holsters to the real deal? I thought I saw one but can't remember where. Thanks again Ryan |
