Shouldn't be a big deal even for small purchases. That being said they guy did have a WTB ad so I would be a little anoyed too.

Charlie,

A "dumb" phone works fine, too, if it has a camera. They are usually in the range of at least 3 megapixels, which should be plenty for a pic with good resolution. The secret to a crisp shot is to steady the phone somehow, and to use good lighting and proper color balance. My 4-year-old phone does OK if I steady the shot. It keeps on working, so I am glad because I don't need, so far, to "upgrade" myself into an extra $40 per month, which is necessary to support the smarties' functions. Sadly, I've heard that at some point, lesser capable phones won't be supported by any of the carriers. Until then, I hope my old LG (flips open sideways, not slides, to present a miniature real keyboard) hangs in there, as any current replacement tends to be rather cheesy.

Not actually. I started receiving many text messages from people I did not know, from religious groups, salesmen, etc. that I had verizon put a block on text messages. I was paying for each and every one of them and I became tired of it. I can take a picture, but I cannot get it off of the phone.

What I mean is that if you are selling to someone (most folks nowadays) who communicates with a smart phone they don't understand why asking for another picture is a problem. Their phone is their computer and it is always attached at the hip. No need to "go outside", "upload images" or anything that seems troublesome to others.

I am just old and hard to adapt to new technologies I guess

I have had enough problems adjusting to my 2 netbooks, one laptop, 4 desk tops (one has to have the operating system re-installed), 2 color laser printers, 2 color ink jet all-in-ones, and (although I have not used them in ages) 2 ink jet printers. Also 1 Hot Spot which lets all of my computers (except the two which do not have wireless cards) access the internet if cable goes down or if I am on the road (with the portable ones).

Between the cable and the hot spot, I can't afford another internet connection.

Old cranks sometimes fly off at the handle...at least that is what my wife tells me.

No cranks on any of my phones. All the phones in my house are rotary phones. You should see the blank stares of the kids who do not know how to dial a telephone number.

I get out my old telegraph key sometimes when I want to remember how really rough life was.
