I wish I owned a "government property" 1911A1. I carried them when under arms during the 1963 - 1988 period when I was on active duty, including for a year in Vietnam. It was a comforting companion.

I, like the folks above, also enjoy the 1911 handgun, and have for many years. A good number of mine are of the older variety (WWl, WWll, 1960-70s) but I do have a few newer 1911s with 3in bbl.
I was loading 45ACP ammo this very morning for my old 1911s, as I prefer "soft" loads for them, but it needs to be a RN bullet. I don't want/need any cracked frames or slides on these old warhorses. |
