Jim,

We have obviously shared the same experience, working on our old Chevelles. Some repro parts are good, some are so-so, some are just plain, useless junk.

I have a set of the Sarco grips, and the eBay grips look very similar (could be from the same source). The checkering is too coarse, the panels are way too thick, they leave gaps at the top and around the perimeter, and they need some creative carving to fit on the pistol. Holding a Luger with these grips on feels like holding a double stack pistol with rasps screwed to the sides.

I was thinking about sanding them down and try my hands at recheckering them. They would still won't fit right, but at least I'd get some practice.
