Today I recieved in the post with a smile, Jeff Noll's book on Imperial German Unit markings. I like doing my own research but do to old age, sometimes I have to ask what comes first the 'A' or the 'B'.
![]() I didn't get much feedback earlier when I posted help on a unit mark, "M.G.T.R.9.K." 1916 DWM and I see why. Can't find it anywhere in the book. M.G. (Machinenegewehr) but the T.R. that follows is not there. 'T' for trains, 'R' for Regt/Fus/Gren or 'T.R.' for Recruitung Depot of a telegraph Det but.....the 'T' is not a script 't. In Jeff's book there is no mention of M.G.T.R.9.K. even on pages for 1916 unit marked DWMs. Any ideas would be appreciated. |
