I agree with what Alan says; I do try to get fairly close. I don't buy a holster that was made after my gun by more than a few years and if I can do what I really want, I figure;

1 yr before - that yr - the yr after

Condition drives price - ratty holster for a WW2 era, $100-$125 - much nicer - $200-$250

Then if you are looking for a really sweet one, save the pennies
