I'm new to Lugers, so I'd love any info about my pistol. As you can see in the pictures (I'm not a photographer) it is a 39/42. Numbers match on pistol, but not on the mags. The 1934 holster is in good shape. Questions I have are, is this a Mauser?(if not, who made it), Why is this not marked "S42"? What does the "S" mean on others? Do the grips look original to the pistol? Is this a military or commercial pistol? Thank you in advance for your comments.
