Ron, As you might imagine I don't own many modern revolvers..None with a transfer bar...None with a fireing pin block or hammer block. None of these are "true safeties" They are mostly drop safeties..preventing the firing pin from contacting the primer when dropped on unless the trigger is intentionally activated. The best safety ever devised is the mind of man..
I carry a .38 Colt Cobra just because it has NO safety. In a stressful situation it takes no thought to point and pull the trigger. I have watched many times on a Police fireing line..FIRE! about one out of ten Policemen on the line will be looking down at their weapon wondering why it didn't fire..the safety was on. In a life threatening situation...I don't want to be thinking about why my weapon won't work. From past experience..I know I will want my mind cleared of that small matter.
