The "f" is the cursive letter under the word "Germany" under the numeric part of your serial number.
Take a look at the technical reference section of this site, and look at the cursive letters listed. I agree that $600 is about right for this as a retail price. Perhaps $500 to a collector that wanted a .30 Luger shooter. Marc
