Somebody really did a number on a nice Erfurt!! The oddest thing is I do not see the necessity of it all, unless this is an attempt to make serviceable again a pistol with a cracked front upper receiver, (chamber area). Still, an upper receiver could have been welded and brought back into use.
The bore still appears to be 9mm, but have you looked at the chamber? The brass "dot" also makes me nervous. If this is a brass plug, which goes all the way through the barrel wall, perhaps in an attempt to "rewat" a "dewated" pistol, it is a very dangerous solution. I would not attempt to fire this hatchet job at all, even after a gunsmith's inspection. I'm baffled at what was meant to be accomplished here.. |

very true, i used a bore light and i did not see where it was drilled through and why is the reciever shorter? i am assuming serial number 25 and matching numbers it is all original. i do think his asking price of 1150.00 is a bit steep/lol.
