Bill, I don't recall the source, but recall reading that these were original WW1 issue hoster for the Walther Mod 6, that were later converted to use with the PO8. TH

Tom, you may be thinking of the holsters that were designed for the 9-mm Dreyse and sold to the Prussian Landgendarmerie. These holsters are stamped L.G. inside and many were converted for use with police P08s since the Landgendarmerie apparently canceled its order for the Dreyses. I have seen (erroneous) speculation that these converted holsters were originally for Walther M6s.
