May I see some good photos of the holster, please? Is it unit marked?
The photo shoes my grandfather as a member of the 2. Eskadron of the Ulanen 5 in 1910.

Outstanding unit marked Luger. I have two close cousins to your 1910 DWM, sn 9430c, marked 5.U.5.8. They are 1910 DWM, sn 9411c , marked 5.U.4.13 and 1910 DWM, sn 9672c, marked 5.U.3.10. The serial numbers corrolate very well with the unit markings. A large portion of the 1910 DWM Lugers were issued to cavalry units. Unit marked Imperial Lugers are each a collectors prize. (see page 42-43 and 288-289 Central Powers Pistols)
