I always liked El Paso Saddlery's 1900 Test holster replica

All, thanks for the replies.
What I was thinking of was a holster a German Landser would have access to during the war. That's why the softshell P-38 and Browning HP's came to mind, if it would fit. I'd also like to stay with a military issue type, if possible. To me it seems like the standard Luger holster with it's buckle closure would be detrimental in a situation where you'd need to draw your side arm quickly. The police model seem's more practical. Anyway, I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks again, Bill

All,
On another forum, someone answered that yes, a Luger will fit in a P-38 softshell holster. So, I'm going to get a repro P-38 holster to go with my German field gear, and an original P-08 holster to go with the pistol itself. Thanks to everyone that replied. Bill
