Thanks for suppling me with much needed information. I
would have all pertinent books, but they are out of print and cost as much as my Luger.

Ain't that the dying truth? I have several of Jan Still books, Costanza and others. I'm flabbergasted by the prices they seem to bring.

Hope is on the horizon... Jan Still is preparing a revision to "Third Reich Lugers".

May be out in a few months, his last releases were available for just under a hundred bucks (of course past performance is no guarantee of future results

).

Your serial number appears to be out of the range of the third variation. Serial no. 2917 ns looks like it belongs in the SE655 SE655 range. Can you post pictures?
