Thanks, all, for your observations--oops, I didn't initially catch the ground off stock lug, and already have one with this issue. I'll be trying a couple different Lugers to define better just what I want to collect. Until that point arrives, I'm after shooters, for the experience each one can give me, good or bad. But I'm depending on the forum to help me not get burned too badly and hung in a gun I ultimately would want to pass on to another caregiver. I agree that Mike's Luger is a much better value
