Hi to all, you don't really need a small lathe to make small parts... just a very repeatable and stable (QUALITY) lathe, that's where the accuracy comes from, stabality and no wear in the head stock... Unless you have a spare 10K to drop on a USED CLAUSSEN Lathe, The only advantage to small lathes, is usually they can spin something up to light speed in RPM...
...well you know what I mean, anyway, guys like Rich, Rick and me, get a feel for our lathe, and can hold a few thou pretty well, tighter tol. is for better equip. still, If i could get an original rivet, I'd probably make some... best to all, til...lat'r...GT .... |
