Luger Values for Thor Restored Lugers

Thanks to this forum I hooked-up with Ted on an all matching, previously re-blued/dipped 1939/code-42 military luger restoration. I decided to go full bore with Ted's TDJ treatment eventhough an original 1939/42 luger was not issued rust blued with strawed parts, just wanted to see what an earlier era pistole would look like brand new, 100yrs ago. At Ted's direction, we chose Hugh Clark, and GT for wooden grip re-checkering and magazine rehab with new custom made bottoms. Anyway, what I received was an amazing piece of art, probably considered as a fancy "shooter" grade piece by collectors, but definitely far too nice to shoot. Absolutely worth the price/wait to have three of the best in the business represented on this project. Also, when comparing my minty original rust blued 1936/S42, to Ted's rust blue work on the restoration, I cannot tell a difference in color between the two. After discussing this revelation with Ted it became apparent how much work, effort and skill is put into preparing metal and solution to result in a beautiful original looking finish. This applies to the fine work of Hugh and Gerry as well, priceless.
