I tend to think like Ed for most restorations, in the 50% range, of a 98% gun however; many of Thor's guns are beautiful and restorations have been selling pretty good lately. There is a market for what he does that adds a premium, ( many people want an outstanding example). It doesn't matter what collectors want, its about market price. So I would add a 20% to that and say 70% to 80% depending on the gun.
As collectors we tend to get stuck in a rut, Thor's guns are eye catchers, and if taken care of will always have good resale value in the open market. Just my two cents worth Vern |
