Straw coloring refers to a heat treating process that leaves the parts a golden "straw" color. Used on small parts up to 1937. You won't see it after that date because it was an unnecessary step in production, but looked nice.
The online sites are a wonderful place to educate yourself, but not a place for beginners to buy. Pick out a gun that suits your fancy and send us a link. We will pick it apart for you.
