Welcome to the forum!
You have a nice Mauser made Luger. As you mention, the chamber number is also the date of manufacture, 1942. This gun has been sadly relegated to shooter status by nickle plating it. The grips, which do look original, have had a Luftwaffe cap badge imbedded into them by a previous owner. The eagle is not a factory or official addition and is not original to the gun. |
