For an amazing feat of engineering, wait until you do a C96. Granted, the Luger was superior with its contoured grip, natural pointing ability, and removable magazine, but remember both of these designs were in production before the automobile was anything more than a curiosity. In the same period came the M98 Mauser rifle and not much later came the Colt 1911. Everything else in pistol design since then has merely been a refinement of design until you reach the modern plastic guns. I have a plastic gun - it shoots water.
