Marc,
I am afraid the spring is not to be found. I even used a super magnet hoping to snag it. I checked out the web sites you mentioned and according to the prices they are asking this is easily a $3000 pistol. I am pretty sure my friend will not buy it for his son-in-law at that price. I will take it to him tomorrow and see what he says. If he does not want it I will then offer it here. Either way I'd say I owe the forum and will pay once it is sold. I have the feeling you do not have the upper installed properly due to the way the toggles look half open. It should want to snap closed. DO NOT FIRE it untill you are sure it is properly assembled. John
