Gerald, congratulations! I made my move when I was 53 after 31 years with the same company.

It was a good decision, and I've never regretted it!

Project prime is now "you"!!! Go for it!

Marc

Default Thanks!

Thanks Marc, Ted & Tom..I really do feel free... I went out ugly but well.. I stood up tall for a good guy, woudn't budge.. bang Ger, your gone!!!!.. Your first thought is, Holy Crap! ..Then, Oh well....Amazing how much stuff you can fit into a desk drawer... ... How you can get three boxes of crap to carry out... I guess I'll never know..
I have always really liked the support this forum has given me, and others like me.. Everyone seems to be quite a bit alike?? And all have lived a bit outside the reach of a safety net... So, Onward and upward... Well, for awhile, at least onward.. ... Best to all, til...lat'r...GT

GT,
Good luck in your new "position"! You will find that there still isn't enough time to do everything that you want to do!

GT, similar stuff happened to me. The Engineering company I worked for had a President that when projects didnt make deadlines he picked on the Engineers saying there was something wrong with our plans, plans that multiple agencies had approved and many time he looked at them before they went out. I was only one of the Engineers that stood up to him and said "What specifically do you have a problem with" and he would just repeat, "your plans are crap" or something to that affect in front of the client. I had a verbal knock down drag out very long session in his office that nobody else had the guts to do. They were gunning for me and when 9/11 happen they used the excuse that they were downsizing to give me the boot! BEST thing that ever happened to me! Look what I am doing now! I just wished I could do the restoration work faster!

Default Hi Ted!

Hi to all, Yes, I knew for years that this was the eventual result of hard work for somebody else.. but I always liked to believe, and will continue to do so.. only this time, it's in myself! Ted, it's really funny, when it all goes down, how you find out who your friends are, and who's got knives in their hands! Never ceases to amaze me... But, I digress, we are definitly going forward! Best to all., til...lat'r.....GT...

GT,
God bless you. You have the right attitude Brother. Make it happen. What you believe will be. An opportunity to spread your wings and soar a flight of Freedom. Only in America. God save us all.
