Appropriate? Yes. But it is always advisable to test a small batch before buying the lot

I've fired S&B 145gr subsonic, which is scaringly short, snubnosed ammo with a reduced load. To my amazement the P08 worked through them without problems. Only the toggle wouldn't remain open after the last shot.

Eye and ear protection is always a good precaution, especially around older guns.
