$150 in 1985 converting to today's dollar is

$300.14 using the Consumer Price Index
$264.27 using the GDP deflator
$325.67 using the value of consumer bundle
$302.49 using the unskilled wage
$402.27 using the nominal GDP per capita
$513.62 using the relative share of GDP


Even more interesting, Stoeger priced NIB 7,65 DWM Luger at $50 in 1928. Converting to today's dollar is

$628.44 using the Consumer Price Index
$513.24 using the GDP deflator
$1,275.64 using the value of consumer bundle
$2,036.90 using the unskilled wage
$2,934.72 using the nominal GDP per capita
$7,416.13 using the relative share of GDP
