One of the best investments I made a few years ago was to buy from Numrich's/Gun Parts Corp. a small bag containing about 20 sets of the generic grip screw/threaded grommet/collar grommet. They are very good quality; brass for both grommets and (appasrently) stainless for the screw. I have fitted them to a number of old original grip panels and also to new ones I made.

I went through my first bag and now have another.

You'll have to dig to find the part number, but they always have them, and these are an absolute "must" for anybody who works with pistols and grips.

The grommets are high enough that you can install them on anything, and then take them down to be flush with the grip surface.
