If the gun shop offered you $1000 for the gun alone, that is a fairly good deal for you. If the $1000 offer incuded the holster, then it isn't quite as good of a deal. The holster is for an 1879 Reichsrevolver and I am guessing it might fetch in the neighborhood of $400 +/- by itself.
