Sam, Does the bottom of the magazine match the serial's on the pistol?

I believe it's original. It's been with the gun for over 60 years that my mother remembers.

Any guesses as to what the gun and holster are worth? one local gun shop offered me $1,000. That seems low to me but I don't know by how much.
