If I understand your problem, just go to the thread in question and click on the name just above the word "User". That will give a drop-down, click on "send private message to", and go from there.

He only has one post. The vBulletin software may not have kicked in yet. John posted some time back how many posts you needed to get PM's to work, but I forget how many. John may have changed it also.

I don't really know who the pistol was eventually sold to. If memory serves, it went to a friend of George Anderson. Maybe George can jump in and help you with the pistol's final destination.
