Magnum, Here are some alternative for your Parabellum: Mauser marked originals: new wood bottomed (made for some commeratives) @$150, lightly used with BP bottom @$100. Same mag but marked on spine "made in Holland" @$75. Some less expensive alternatives would be new MecGar BPBed mags or new wood bottomed 3K mags @$30 each + $6 S&H. hellerarms@webtv.net

Well, if one were to make new bottoms the decision would have to be made as to materials, wood or aluminum. Aluminum would seem to me to be more durable. I had no idea these originals would break before reading this thread.
