Jack,

That is a nice and very unique Commercial 1911.

I once saw a minty Commercial 1921(if I recall correctly) marked to the New York Police Dept. The owner had sent it off to one of the customizers / butchers and had it "Suped-up" (I would use a different term, but Ed would delete it) with Bo-Mar sights, beavertail grip safety, etc. We told him that he had taken a $2500.00+ pistol and turned it into an $500 shooter. He didn't seem to give a crap.
