Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, emphesema seems to be a tough battle.. Wish you all the best copeing with it.

I can't pass any of my firearms down to the next generation, unless they achieve licence for ownership. Which is unlikely.. they would need an interest to go trough something like that.
The Lugers is not the worst, that would be my grandfather's Krag JÃ?Â¸rgensen rifle.
