Default Mauser Parabellum Grips & Grip Saftey

Amen to these comments!

They took an almost perfect design (yes the right grip usually works lose on an original Luger if not properly oiled and cared for) and butchered it!

I agree that the grip saftey is also a nightmare! Perhaps a longer one, like the Swiss original, wouldn't make you constantly and uncomfortablly grip the frame so tightly and unnaturally.

Again, these 1970s Parabellums failed commercially. Perhaps they should have spent the few more dollars necessary to fabricate a more original Luger rather than take a 1929 Swiss and cheapen it.

I'd guess the grip safety was also an appeasement to GCA '68. When liberals win we all lose for a looooooong time.

Hi:

No, I don't think the GCA of 1968 had anything to do with it.

They modified the original sear configuration, to save a few cents, and without the grip saftey, the pistol can be easily fired by simply picking it up the wrong way.

Another blunder!!!
