identify this "Luger" holster

I may be an amateur at this but that "Berlin-39" stamp on the back looks like it was done with the same font and size of my Tandy leather stamping kit.
This plus the fact that this stamping is not even close to straight indicates these letters were stamped one at a time and were not created by a commertial stamp.
I may be wrong but I see a nice, interesting, vintage holster ruined by somebody's attempt to boost it.
