Another thing you may consider is there is a type of plastic bag that is made especially for handgun storage. It can also be heat sealed and comes in a 12-pack from Brownells, Inc. Their web site is www.brownells.com (I was wrong above when I said it was .org) The stock number on a 12-pack for handgun sized bags is 083-054-012. And it comes with an information sheet that has lots of extra tips on protective long term storage. I made a digital picture of these instructions and will Email it to you if you wish.
