Spot reblue? - Page 2

Hi all,
I have a Luger that has blueing missing only in spots. Something got on it and removed the the rust blue down to the white. Other than these areas, the gun is as new with almost no wear on well over 90% of the finish. I really want to save as much of the original finish as possible.
I've heard that spot or area reblueing is possible without having to reblue the whole part and I'd like to know what I can expect from this procedure.
