Hi,
Barrel replacement would be a suitable reason for this gun to get reproofed in Germany, either before 1940 or after 1945 (DDR). There is a good chance that this pistol started life as a fully unmarked specimen, receiving both a serial number and proofing after a barrel replacement later in life. |
