Recieved an e-mail up-date from my son.

Seems he ate part of a 105 MM IED that detonated prematurely during a dust up in Sadr City. He said he expended 200+ rounds of 50 cal from "Ma Deuce" and they had Spectre firing danger close. The bad guys got hit so bad that the PC patrol intervened.

Seems to me you win wars by destroying the enemy's ability to make war and his will to make war. Grant, Sherman, Lincoln, Patton, Ike, MacArthur all understood this. Why doesn't our "leadership" understand this now?
