Hi Vela,

The serial numbers are more than 5000 apart. Which is a great deal for postwar Mauser parabellums. Mauser did not produce many of those pistols, so the 5000 can be stretched over a couple of years.

The '11' only signifies the caliber (9mm).

There are actually some 'inbetween' versions, which we named the '1972-and-a-half' variations. These usually have the new type of frame, but some minor details from the older version (known as the 1972-version).
