I agree with Art. I have been using 0000 steel wool and WD40 for 40 years and haven't harmed the finish on a gun yet. For the past 15 yrs I've been using a product named RB17 with 0000 steel wool, it is amazing what this combination will do in turning "browned" bluing back to "blue".
