Post 1935 "G" holsters

Jan Still, in Third Reich Lugers, estimates that over 54,000 "G" lugers were made in 1935. It is also known that 1935 dated holsters are very rare, one recently selling on e-bay for over $600. My question is: What markings were on those 54,000 plus holsters if not "1935"? Code letters were not until later? Was there a marked surplus of 1934 dated holsters that were used with the "G" coded P.08's?
