Hello John F.,
This is only a guess on my part, but I think your swiss 6" holster might be real for the commercial market. I say commerical, since only a 4-3/4" luger was in service for both the military and police services. In both the Eugene Bender book and the Vittorio Babba book; there are photos of swiss holsters for both a 5" gun and a 7" gun... Since many varieties of lugers were put into use for Swiss shooting clubs, I would imagine a 6" swiss luger and holster would not be un-thinkable... p.s. I had the good fortune to see a nice Swiss collection at a recent Reno gun show that is owned by Mr. Bob Lewis of Modesto, CA. If my memory serves me well, I do think Bob might have had a 6" holster as well...(am 85% sure on this...) Regards, Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" /> |
