Bought this reproduction Imperial Navy zig-zag cleaning rod on e-Bay...knowing it was a repro yet wanting to have it to go along with my 1970's 6" 9mm luger and holster rig.
![]() Did not have to spend a lot of money for it...$ 60 and I has happy to have something to put with my 6" shooter rig. Thought folks might like to see the quality of this one...so am posting photos. What is obviously "wrong" that could not be mistaken for an original is : 1. Made of steel not brass. 2. Diameter of shaft is very thick. 3. Wooden handle does not swivel on top of the metal shaft. 4. Would not think the Imperial navy folks would be stamping a tool with the "1939" date... Overall, it is a decently made rod and I am glad to have it to shove into my 6" shooter holster's cleaning rod pouch... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards, Pete... ![]() Last edited by Pete Ebbink; 12-21-2004 at 09:16 PM. |
