I have acquired a shooter. It is a DWM with military acceptance marks. The chamber date is 1920 but it appears as if the original date was ground off and the 1920 (neatly) applied about in the posiiton of the 1920 on a double date, that is closer to the extractor cutout than a standard date. The barrel is a 9 mm military length but I am not totally convinced it is original. (No SN or diameter markings.) No markings on the grip straps. No made in germany or commercial proof.
It has been nickle plated so some of the shallower markings cold have been polished off or filled in. Any thoughts on what it is aside from an abomination? (At least I finally have something to shoot rabbits with without worrying about getting it wet or scratched. It's in pretty good mechanical shape with a good bore.) unsepllable |
